Watch our video to meet Dana and Eddie. Since joining Marcfirst in early 2017, Dana has had the opportunity to share her knowledge, talents, and enthusiasm while developing her career path, working in several different roles and responsibilities. In this video, Dana shares her insights alongside Eddie, who is one of the individuals Dana and others support in our Adult Services Program.
Dan is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in our Applied Behavior Analysis program. He has been with Marcfirst for 17 years and started as a QIDP. Dan worked as a QIDP for 12 years before transitioning to his current role. As a BCBA, he writes and maintains behavior plans, works with individuals to increase skills such as communication, and goes out into the community to assist our adults with community skills.
When asked why Dan has stayed at Marcfirst for so long, he says it’s all about the relationships. Between the individuals we support and his coworkers, Dan shared that he always feels that he’s not only needed but also wanted. Not only that, but each relationship has taught him something and helped him grow both professionally and personally.
“One of my favorite things about working at Marcfirst is that there are people we support who are genuinely happy to see you walk in. If you’re having a bad day, seeing someone appreciate that you are there helps to elevate your mood and feel better.” - Dan, Marcfirst BCBA
